Representatives from charities throughout Wessex were honoured on 11 October 2012, at the Gala Evening & Awards Presentation at the Winchester Guildhall.
Applause erupted from the 270 guests who included charities, businesses, the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Winchester, The Mayor and Mayoress of Southampton, and The Hon. Mrs. Virginia Lovell, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire.
As well as receiving hand engraved trophies, each winning charity received a cash donation from the Organisers and Sponsors.
Founder of the Wessex Charity Awards, Jenny Warner, said “This wonderful evening celebrated the best of human nature – philanthropy in its true meaning. All the charities nominated for an Award were congratulated for their dedication and commitment to helping others”
